Man Arrested In Connection With Reports Of Intimidation

A man has been arrested in connection with a number of reports of intimidation in the Ballycraigy area of Antrim.

Following searches in Belfast on Wednesday, 28th August, a 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including attempted intimidation and possession of criminal property. He has since been released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.

A number of reports of criminal damage to properties in Ballycraigy were made in May and June, these were treated as sectarian-motivated hate crimes.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101. Reports can also be made online via the non-emergency reporting form here or by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A 40 year-old man has been arrested by Police in Newry on suspicion of aggravated burglary and assault. Police received reports that a male resident returned to his home in the Violet Hill Avenue area of the city around 8pm on Wednesday night to find a burglary in process.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.
