Renewed Appeal For Help Tracing Missing Person Jason Hughes

The PSNI have issued a fresh appeal for information on the whereabouts of high-risk missing person, Jason Hughes.

The 27-year-old was first reported missing to police in August, but he has not been since Friday 26th April. His family, who are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time, have not heard from him since early April.

Detective Inspector Angus said: "Jason has links to the Belfast and Craigavon areas, but we believe he could be anywhere in Northern Ireland. We are appealing to the public to please look at the image of Jason and let us know if you recognise him, or have seen him. Jason is described as being approximately 5ft 4 inches tall, of slim build, with short fair/ blond hair and blue eyes.

"I am also appealing directly to Jason to make contact with Police, family or friends so that we know you are safe and well.

"Anyone with any information on Jason's whereabouts, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please make contact with police on 101 and quote reference 830 of 03/08/24. You can also report online here or via the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online here."

Fresh Appeal Launched For Information On Lisa Dorrain Murder
The PSNI have launched a fresh appeal for information on the murder of Bangor woman Lisa Dorrain, with police saying they believe she knew her killer. Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy, from the Serious Crime Branch, said the 25-year-old was murdered after attending a party in Ballyhalbert Caravan Park in February 2005.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing man Declan Mawhinney has been found safe and well, according to the police. Mr Mawhinney, 46, went missing from Letterkenny on Saturday at approximately 11.40pm. A missing person appeal was launched by the police and his family. He was located in Letterkenny on Tuesday. Police thank the public for their assistance.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

Police Appeal For Witnesses After Assault In L'Derry
The PSNI have appealed for witnesses to an assault in L'Derry which left a man with severe head injuries. The attack occurred in the Waterloo Place area of the city on Saturday 6 July at around 1.45am. The victim, who is aged in his 20s, was reported to have been punched once by another man and was taken to hospital for treatment.
