Man Charged With Murder Of Magherafelt Woman Sophie Watson
A 43-year-old man has been charged with the murder Spohie Watson in Magherafelt on Sunday, 18 August.
The 57-year-old woman was found unresponsive at her home in the Ashgrove Park area of the town having sustained a number of stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man will appear before Londonderry Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday 21 August.
The PSNI have said that they are continuing to explore a number of enquiries into the incident and urged anyone with any information, or who may be able to help with the investigation, to call 101 quoting reference number 688 18/08/24 or submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

Thieves Steal Car In 'Creeper' Burglary
The PSNI has said a car has been stolen in a 'creeper' burglary in Limavady, County L'Derry. The silver Volvo S60 was stolen at some time before Friday morning, before it was discovered by a man living at a house on Seacoast Road. It is thought the thieves gained access to a utility room and stole the car keys.

Man Dies In Fermanagh Road Crash
A man, aged in his 50s, has died in a single-vehicle collision in Co Fermanagh. The crash happened on the Moher Road just after 11.30pm on Monday, 03 April. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them. They can be contacted by calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1332 03/04/17.

Renewed Appeal On East Belfast Assault On 11 July
Police have renewed an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of an assault of a man, aged in his 60s, on the morning of Thursday, 11 July, near Clarawood Estate. It was reported that at around 11am, the man was walking his dog in an area known locally as 'Marsh Wiggle' when he was assaulted by an unknown male.

Detectives have appealed for information following the report of a stabbing incident at College Square East in Belfast City Centre. On Wednesday 12 June, the PSNI stated that there is reason to believe an altercation involving three men occurred in the area shortly before 4.30pm, which resulted in one of the men sustaining a stab wound to his neck.

Man Arrested In Connection With Newtownards Hit-And-Run
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Newtownards on Saturday, 16 September. A man, aged in his 40s, is being treated in hospital after he was deliberately struck by a car in the Old Shore Road area of the town, at around 11:45pm. His injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening.
