Police Investigating Fire At 5G Communications Mast

An investigation has been launched following a suspected arson attack on a 5G communications mast in West Belfast.

At around 9.30pm last night, Tuesday, 30 July, emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the Dairy Farm in the Stewartstown Road area.

It is understood that 'significant damage' has been caused to the 5G communications mast.

The PSNI have described the incident as "reckless and dangerous" and posed a serious threat to the public.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded.
