Information Appeal Following Two Arsons In Armagh

Police have appealed for information after two vehicles were set on fire in the Armagh area in the early hours of this morning.

On Monday 29 July at approximately 1.35am, the PSNI received a report that a lorry was on fire in the Markethill Road area. A short time later, at approximately 2.25am, a report was received of a car on fire on the Ballymacnab Road.

Both incidents are being investigated as sectarian hate crimes and arson, with inquiries ongoing.

Anyone with any information or footage that could assist is asked to contact police on 101 quoting 127 of 29/07/24.

Appeal For Information After Vehicle Set On Fire In Armagh
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a number of vehicles were set on fire in Armagh. Just before 5.40am today, Wednesday 19th July, police received a report from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service of a fire at a yard in the Tullysaran Road area.

Police appeal for information following suspicious fire
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a suspicious fire at a garage in Coalisland at the weekend. One lorry was set on fire and a second damaged during the incident which occurred in the Ballynakilly Road area of the town shortly before 2am on Sunday.

Residents Escape Injury After Arson Attack In North Belfast
A number of residents have escaped injury following an arson attack at a flat in north Belfast. Liquid was poured over a door and set on fire at a property in the Skegoneill Avenue area on Thursday evening, 05 September. The NIFRS attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.
