Death Of Man In South Belfast Being Treated As Murder

The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in south Belfast.

Detective Inspector Jennifer Rea confirm that the body of a man located at a property in south Belfast on the evening of Saturday 20 July, was 34-year-old Kevin Davidson.

It is understood that Mr Davidson has been reported missing earlier this month.

A 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman arrested in connection with the investigation both remain in custody.

DI Rea added: "Our thoughts are first and foremost with Mr Davidson's family and loved ones at this most distressing time.

"I am appealing to anyone with information that could assist with enquiries to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 1084 of 15/07/2024."

Off licence robbed in south Belfast
A man armed with a handgun has robbed an off-licence in the University Road area of south Belfast. Shortly after 7pm, a man entered the premises and produced a handgun and demanded money from the till. The man made off with an undisclosed sum of money.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

Investigation Launched After Disabled Man's Vehicle Stolen In South Belfast
An investigation has launched after a man with a severe disability had his car stolen in south Belfast. The keys of the specially-adapted Honda Jazz are believed to have been stolen during a break-in at a property in the Windsor Avenue area between 1.30pm and 4pm on Monday, 19 March.
