Man Arrested After Assault At Buttercrane Shopping Centre

Police have arrested a man in his 30s following an assault at the Buttercrane Shopping Centre in Newry.

PSNI received a report that a man in his 40s was headbutted and sustained a serious injury to his eye during an altercation on Tuesday 9 July at around 12.15pm. Following the assault, the injured man was taken to hospital accompanied by his mother and young child, who were not injured.

The man arrested, on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm with intent, remains in custody at this time.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
