Man Arrested After Drugs Seized During Stop And Search In L'Derry
Police have arrested a man and seized a substantial quantity of suspected Class A controlled drugs following a stop and search in the L'Derry area.
On Wednesday ,10 July, the PSNI stopped a van in the Rockmills area after a report from the public that two males were acting suspiciously. During a vehicle search, police recovered a quantity of suspected cocaine and a sum of cash.
Inspector Cherith Craig said: "A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences and is currently in police custody. Drug supply and misuse is a vicious cycle that we need to collectively break, and we all have a part to play.
"We will continue to do all we can to tackle the issue of drugs in our communities, and we encourage anyone with information, or concerns in respect of drugs in their community to call 101."

A 38-year-old man was arrested following the discovery of drugs, worth an estimated £50,000, in east Belfast. He was subsequently charged with being in possession cannabis with intent to supply following the drugs seizure at Garnerville.
