Investigation Launches After Two Petrol Bomb Attacks In Dungannon

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following two petrol bomb attacks in the Dungannon area in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 30th May.

At approximately 3.25am police received a report of a car on fire in the Spout Road area of Fivemiletown. A window of the vehicle had been broken and bottles containing an accelerant were discovered inside.

A second report was received at approximately 3.40am, of another car on fire in the Epsey Park area of Killyman.

Officers along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended and discovered a petrol bomb inside. Serious damage had been caused to the vehicle.

Sergeant Fletcher said: "We are treating both incidents as arson, however we do not believe that they are linked and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either attack or to anyone with CCTV, door-bell or other footage that could assist enquiries, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 108 of 30/05/24."

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a petrol bomb attack in Newtownards on Saturday 20 May. At approximately 10.25pm, police received a report that a petrol bomb had been thrown through the back window of a property in the Talbot Street area.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a petrol bomb attack on a van in Larne in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 16 May. At approximately 12.30am this morning, police were called to a report of a van on fire in the Greenland Parade area of the town.

Car Damaged By Petrol Bomb In Lurgan
A car has been damaged after a petrol bomb was thrown in Lurgan, County Armagh. The incident is reported to have occurred in the Boconnell Court area at around 20:30 on Sunday. The device was thrown at the vehicle as it was parked in a driveway, causing fire damage. The PSNI has appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
