PSNI Issues 'Specific Witness Appeal' In Connection With Belfast Assault

The PSNI have made a 'specific witness appeal' as part of an investigation into an alleged assault in Belfast city centre.

An altercation is reported to have occurred inside licensed premises in the Bedford Street area on Sunday, 12th May at approximately 8.30pm.

Police have said that they are keen to hear from anyone who noticed a man being chased from licensed premises around 9pm that same evening by three other men – before he left in a taxi.

He is described as around 6ft, of muscular build and with ginger hair that had been shaved. The men are also alleged to have attempted to gain entry to the vehicle before it drove off.

Enquires remain ongoing and anyone who witnessed the man being chased or who has mobile, dash-cam or CCTV footage of what happened that could help with enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1908 12/05/24.
