Death Of A Woman In East Belfast Being Treated As Murder
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman aged in her 30s in Belfast.
Police received a report of the death of a woman at a house in the Madrid Street area of east Belfast shortly before 4.25pm on Wednesday, 15 May.
On arrival, officers located the body of a woman in a bedroom who had sustained serious injuries to her head.
It is understood that the PSNI have already made three arrests in connection with the investigation.
Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin said: "A woman aged in her 40s, and two men, both aged in their 20s, have all been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody at this time.
"Police remain at the scene this morning, Thursday 16th May, as enquiries continue.
"I am appealing to anyone who believes they may have information which could assist us with our investigation to contact us on 101 quoting reference 1190 15/05/24."

Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Police have launched an investigation following a fatal crash in Co Antrim. The collision, between a bus and a car, happened in Randalstown at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 11 February. A 58-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

The death of a woman in a flat in L'Derry city centre in the early hours of Saturday, 24 August, is being investigated as murder. A fire was reported in a ground floor flat on Harvey Street at around 4.15am. Crews from NI Fire and Rescue Service responded along with NI Ambulance Service and police officers.
