Appeal For Information On Kilkeel Arson Attacks
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the report of two arson incidents in the Kilkeel area.
It was reported to police that at around 2.25am on Monday 06 May, that a Volkswagen Passat parked in the Munro Villas area had the windows smashed and an accelerant poured inside. The vehicle was set alight and extensively damaged.
It then was reported to police at around 4.55 am this morning, Tuesday, 7TH May that a vehicle parked in the Munro Villas area was on fire. Colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire. NIFRS believe the cause of the blaze to be deliberate and so the incident is being treated as arson.
Inspector Nicholas Woods said: "Enquiries are ongoing into the incidents which we believe to be linked and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact 101 quoting reference numbers CW 178 – 06/05/24 and CW 159-07/05/24.
"A report can be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."

L'Derry Police Appeal For Information On Alleged Drink Spiking Incidents
Police in L'Derry have said they want to hear from anyone who believes that their drink could have been spiked while out in the city centre last weekend. The appeal has been issued after a teenage girl reportedly had her drink spiked while out on Foyle Street last Saturday. Police have said that the girl was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Detectives in Larne are investigating two separate arson attacks that have taken place over the past 24 hours. The first incident occurred in the Seacourt Road area on Saturday morning, November 30th. At approximately 7.10am, police received a report of three cars on fire. The blaze spread to nearby properties, causing significant damage.
