easyJet Launches Summer Flights To Alicante
Belfast City Airport has welcomed the launch of new easyJet summer flights to Alicante.
The service to the popular Spanish region will fly twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. Seats are still available to book from £40.99* on easyJet.com and via the mobile app.
easyJet's new route gives customers in Northern Ireland more choice and connectivity for their summer holiday, whether it's for a city break in Alicante or to relax on Spain's sunny beaches.
Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK Country Manager, said: "We are delighted to be launching a new route from Belfast City to Alicante, providing our customers in Belfast with more choice when planning their summer holiday whether they are looking for a cultural city break or to relax on the beaches of the Costa Blanca, there is something for everyone.

The service to Alicante will also provide choice for travellers wishing to visit Benidorm, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, and Torremolinos.
In addition to Alicante, easyJet will also facilitate flights from Belfast City Airport to Palma de Mallorca from 30th May.
easyJet holidays has also launched thousands of its beach and city package holidays across the new route in anticipation for the tour operator's biggest summer season yet, with Spain being one of its most popular destinations amongst holidaymakers.

bmi to concentrate services at Belfast City
bmi has announced that it is to discontinue its Heathrow service from Belfast International Airport (BIA) and concentrate resources in Belfast City Airport. However, bmi will maintain a presence at BAI as bmibaby will be including Belfast International as a destination to be served from a new UK base to be announced shortly.

Retailer Primark is donating £500,000 to Belfast City Council's City Recovery Investment Fund. The fund is being set up after a number of businesses have been severely affected by the fire at the Bank Buildings which happened over three weeks ago. A cordon remains in place and 14 firms have been closed for up to four months.

The Chairman of Belfast City Council’s Good Relations Steering Panel has challenged claims that the Council is not supporting St Patrick’s Day in Belfast. It follows a protest outside Belfast City Hall last week by the St Patrick's Carnival Committee who claim the Council isn't funding this year's event at the City Hall.
