Renewed Appeal For Information In West Belfast Murder Investigation
The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have renewed an appeal for information following the death of a man in west Belfast.
A murder investigation was launched after a man was found seriously injured and unconscious in the Cupar Street area of the city on Wednesday evening, 6 March.
The man passed away in hospital later that same night.
Reiterating an appeal for information and witnesses, Detective Inspector Sean Armstrong said: "My thoughts today are first and foremost with the family and loved ones, who are left to come to terms with their loss.
"Police were notified of an altercation, outside licensed premises, just after 8pm.
"A 35-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at this time.
"Our enquiries continue, and I'm keen to take the opportunity to appeal to anyone with information to get in touch. Did you witness the events leading up to the altercation? Might you have captured footage of the actual incident? Please contact our detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1768 of 06/03/24."
Photos and footage, including CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam footage, can be shared with police through the Major Incident Public Portal at mipp.police.uk

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following reports of a man seen brandishing a suspected firearm in the Falls Road area on the morning of Saturday 18th May. At approximately 8.15am, it was reported that a man had been seen with what was believed to have been a handgun in the vicinity of the Cullingtree Road.

Neighbourhood Inspector Róisín Brown said: "Officers attended the scene along with our colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

PSNI Detectives are appealing for information following a report of criminal damage at a house in the Raceview Avenue area of Ballymoney yesterday evening, Monday 20th February. Shortly after 9pm, a man dressed in black and wearing blue gloves, arrived at the property and began to attack the front door with a golf club.
