Two Arrests Made During North Belfast Search Operations
Two arrests have been made by detectives from the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) following a number of searches in the north Belfast area today, Thursday, 29th February.
Detective Inspector Corrigan said: "The searches were conducted at three properties in north Belfast as part of an ongoing investigation into criminality linked to the West Belfast UDA.
"As a result of the searches, quantities of suspected Class A, B and C controlled drugs were seized, alongside cash and mobile phones. The items were taken away for further forensic examination.
"Two men aged 30 and 39 years were arrested for various offences including possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply. They remain in custody at this time."
Detective Inspector Corrigan continued: "Our enquiries remain ongoing following today’s arrest and seizures. This is a demonstration of the PCTF’s commitment to tackle the harm caused by illegal drug use and supply in our communities.
"I would encourage anyone with information about the supply or use of illegal drugs to contact police on 101."

Four Men Arrested In Connection With Lyra McKee Murder
Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder of journalist Lyra McKee. Ms McKee was fatally shot as she observed rioting in L'Derry in April 2019. She was 29 years old. Police investigating her death have arrested four men, aged 19, 20, 21 and 33, under the Terrorism Act.

Yet another post office has been targeted by robbers. Yesterday, Killyman PO, near Dungannon was the latest to be hit. Although no one was hurt, a trend of such rural hold-ups is emerging after other such post offices - including a mobile - have been targeted over the last week.

Number Of Arrests Made In Newry Search Operations
Detectives from the Organised Crime Branch have made a number of arrests following searches at three properties in the Newry area. The searches were carried out as part of a pro-active policing operation and led to the seizure of suspected Class A and Class B controlled drugs, a quantity of cash, mobile phones and a number of other related items.

Arrests Reported By Police
Police have made arrests in two separate cases, one involving drugs and the other alleged dissident republican activities. The PSNI uncovered a cannabis factory in south Belfast, which followed a search of premises at Finaghy Road South last night. Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £100,000 were seized.

Four Charged With Drugs Offences
Four people have been charged with class A drugs offences following arrests made on Friday (30 August). Two men, aged 54 and 20, and a 42-year-old woman who are all from Liverpool, and a 35-year-old man from Antrim have been charged with the possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
