B.I.C. Systems completes major upgrade of Belfast training facility
B.I.C. Systems has announced the completion of a major upgrade of the training facilities at its headquarters in Belfast, Northern Ireland, as part of the ongoing development of its portfolio of technology solutions.
The upgrade involved the installation of a range of state-of-the-art virtualisation software, most specifically Microsoft Virtual PC 2004, a powerful software virtualization solution that allows users to run multiple PC-based operating systems simultaneously on one workstation.
The upgrade involved a significant investment in both the latest hardware and network infrastructure to support the introduction of Microsoft Virtual PC across B.I.C. Systems’ entire training portfolio.
Virtual PC is a powerful software tool that will transform the learning environment by allowing multiple platforms to be run from one workstation greatly enhancing the users training experience.
B.I.C. Systems is the first organization in Ireland to upgrade all of its training facilities to this standard.
Sean Hanna, Head of Training, B.I.C. Systems, said: “What this means is that we can now allow each delegate on a training course to gain access to a number of machines from just one PC, which will significantly enhance the quality and depth of the training that we can provide.
“This means, in turn, that we can provide an accurate simulation of any technology environment that the delegates might be faced with, when they return to their working environment. Also, the new platform helps delegates assimilate the required knowledge more quickly and easily”.
B.I.C. Systems provides training solutions to a range of customers in the public and private sectors in Ireland and UK.
Last year, the company was selected to deliver a series of unique training courses to Microsoft channel partners on Microsoft technologies in both Dublin and Belfast.
