Appeal Following Theft Of Cattle Trailer In Artigarvan
The PSNI have launched an investigation into the theft of a cattle trailer from a farmyard in Artigarvan.
The theft occurred on Moorlough Road sometime between 7pm on Tuesday, 23 January and 3.15pm yesterday, Wednesday, 24 January.
Police are urging anyone who saw the Nugent trailer (VRM N24 EWE), or knows of its whereabouts to get in touch. They're also keen to hear from anyone who is offered a trailer like this for sale in suspicious circumstances to call them. The number to call is 101, quote reference number 1047 of 24/01/24 or make a report online via www.psni.police.uk/report or, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

If you notice anything untoward in your neighbourhood, or see unknown vehicles outside premises or on neighbouring land in rural areas, note down any important details such as a description or vehicle registration and contact police immediately. NI Lorry Driver Jailed In Connection With £3m Drug Seizure
A 38-year-old man has been jailed in connection with the largest single drug seizure by the PSNI. At Belfast Crown Court, Andrew Stafford pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.

A number of shops in the city centre were targeted over the weekend and this spree has continued into the week. The latest shop to be attacked was a women's boutique store in Donegall Place.

Rural Crime Cost NI £2.5m In 2022
Rural crime cost Northern Ireland £2.5m in 2022, an increase of 51% on the year before, according to the latest Rural Crime Report from NFU Mutual. The figure follows the UK trend as 2022 rural crime costs across the UK shot up 22% to an estimated £49.5m, up from £40.5m the previous year.

Man Arrested In Connection With Fuel Theft
A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of diesel theft from a property in the Ballymagorry area of Strabane last night, Tuesday, 11th October. The arrest followed the report of alleged diesel theft from an address on Ballyheather Road shortly after 10pm where a red Berlingo van was also found at the address and abandoned.
