Appeal Following Thefts From Drumahoe Construction Site
PSNI detectives investigation the theft of electrical cable in Drumahoe have appealed for witnesses and information.
The theft from a construction site on the Glenshane Road was reported to police at 7.30am this morning, Tuesday 23 January.
It's believed the theft occurred sometime between 4pm on 19th January and the time it was reported this morning.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area between these times and noticed any suspicious activity, or anyone who is offered electrical cable for sale in suspicious circumstances.
The number to call is 101, quote reference 176 of 23/01/24 or make a report online via www.psni.police.uk/report or, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Issuing crime prevention advice the PSNI said: "If you notice anything untoward in your neighbourhood, or see unknown vehicles outside premises or on neighbouring land in rural areas, note down any important details such as a description or vehicle registration and contact police immediately. Police will follow up on your call and there is every possibility your prompt information could prevent a crime.
"For crime prevention advice or information call 101 to speak with the local crime prevention officer."

DUP In Call For Increased Police Focus On ATM Thefts
A DUP MLA has called on the PSNI to step up their focus following the latest ATM theft in Dungiven, Co L'Derry, amid a spate of similar incidents. The party's Policing Board member Keith Buchanan was part of a DUP delegation which met with the PSNI's ATM taskforce on Monday to discuss the issue.
