Translink 'Stuff A Bus' Campaign Provided 33,280 Meals

Translink has marked another successful year for its 'Stuff a Bus' campaign, and thanked the generosity of passengers, staff, local business, and schools for helping raise enough donations to provide 33,280 meals for those most in need.

Working in partnership with Homeless Connect FareShare NI to distribute nourishing meals to families, schools, charities, and community groups throughout Northern Ireland, helping those living in food poverty or facing financial difficulties.

The campaign was also given a welcome boost from local charitable organisation, The Lightbody Foundation, which donated £10,000 towards the worthy appeal.

Calls For Translink Not To Drift Into Deficit
Alliance Regional Development spokesperson Stewart Dickson MLA has called on the Department for Regional Development to not let Translink drift into deficit. Translink is expected to make a £2 million profit this year but a £22 million deficit over the two years after that.
