Two men charged with Limavady murder

Two men have been charged with the murder of a man whose badly burned body was discovered in Co. Londonderry at the weekend.

Liam Anthony Duddy, 40, and William John Wilson, 31, both with an address at Linenhall Street in Limavady, appeared at Londonderry Magistrates Court on Friday.

They were charged with murdering William Trainor from Gorteen Crescent in Limavady between 11 and 14 June.

The body of the 50-year-old victim was burned so badly that dental records had be used to identify the body.

Mr Trainor's body was discovered by police at the back of a Masonic Hall at Linenhall Street in the town on Sunday, June 13.

Police believe that a wheelie bin may have been used to move the body, which was discovered in a disused cattle market.

Both men were remanded in custody to appear again by videolink on 15 July.
