Jewellery And Cash Stolen From Castlereagh Home

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the theft of jewellery and cash from a home in the Castlereagh area on Friday, 12 January.

At around 8.30pm it was reported to police that entry had been gained to a house in the Garland Avenue area by forcing a rear door. The property was ransacked and a number of items stolen, including jewellery and a sum of cash.

Detective Sergeant Cargin said: "Understandably, the home owners been left very upset by the intrusion into their home and the loss of sentimental items, which included a jade necklace.

"This item has particular significance for the family and we would appeal to the public to get in touch if they are offered the necklace, or one similar, in suspicious circumstances.

"Our enquiries into this incident are continuing.

"Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area, or who may have relevant doorbell or CCTV footage, is asked to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 1635 of 12/01/24.

OBE Medal Stolen During Burglaries In Randalstown
An OBE medal has been stolen after three houses were burgled in Randalstown, Co Antrim. The burglaries happened in the Church Road and Kemmilhill Gardens area between 3pm on Friday, 09 March, and 4.45pm on Saturday, 10 March. Entry was forced via a rear window and a rear door. Cash, jewellery and cigarettes were also stolen.

Three men have robbed a 75-year-old woman at her home in Jonesborough, County Armagh. The three men approached the woman as she was arriving at her home in the Finnegan’s Road area between 6.15pm and 6.30pm yesterday evening.

Jewellery & Cash Stolen In Lisburn Burglary
Detectives are investigating the burglary of a house in Maghaberry, near Lisburn, earlier this week. A quantity of jewellery and a sum of cash was stolen from a property in the Glen View area on Monday 06 January. It's believed the home was targeted at sometime between 1pm and 4.30pm.
