PSNI Appeal Following South Belfast Burglary
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a burglary in south Belfast.
Shortly after 6am on Monday, 8th January, it was reported to police that a break-in had occurred at a house in the Jerusalem Street area.
Believed to have occurred just a short time before it was reported, it was reported a man dressed all in black, aged between 20-30 years old, and approximately 5ft 9 inches tall, had entered the property and stole a brown leather wallet.
No one was inside the house at the time and police believe nothing else was taken. The man left on foot in the direction of Rugby Avenue.
Police said: "Our investigation is ongoing - with enquiries continuing. We would appeal to anyone with any information including dash-cam, mobile or CCTV footage of the area, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity between 5.30am and 6am on Monday, 8th January to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 167 08/01/24.
"A report can also be made online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
"You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org/."

Appeal For Information On Newry Security Alert
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a security alert in Newry on Monday, 01 January. The alert began when it was reported to police that a suspicious object had been left in the Drumgullion Avenue area at around 2.50pm. A number of homes in the area were evacuated as officers conducted a public safety operation in the area.

Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: "At around 1:30pm, it was reported to police that entry was gained to a property in the area and a sum of money was taken during the incident.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a violent incident in west Belfast on Tuesday, 13 June. According to police, at around 1.30pm yesterday, three men approached a property in the Fallswater Street area. At the property, one of the three men is believed to have produced a firearm and threatened a female residence.
