Teenager Arrested In Connection With Attempted Armed Robbery

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and carrying a firearm with criminal intent.

The arrest was in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a fast food takeaway in the Rathgael Road area of Bangor on the night of Thursday, 19 October.

Following questioning by detectives, the teenager has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1940 19/10/23.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Arrested Over Armed Robbery In West Belfast
A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in west Belfast. The robbery happened at a shop on Caffrey Avenue at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 27 February. The suspect threatened a member of staff and made off with a sum of cash and cigarettes. He was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February, and has been detained in police custody.

Man Sentenced To Seven Years For Several Robberies In East Belfast
A man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for several robberies in east Belfast. Rodney Archer, aged 71, was sentenced for six robberies, three thefts and one attempted robbery at Belfast Magistrates' Court.
