Three People Arrested Over 'Attempted Hijacking' In North Belfast
Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences following an attempted hijacking in north Belfast.
The incident happened in Downview Park West on Wednesday, 11 October, at around 4am.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "The woman stopped her vehicle and was threatened by one of the men, who was armed with a knife. When she got out of her car, the victim was chased by the suspects for a short distance, during which time they tried to take her phone. The pair then fled on foot.
"Responding police officers located the arrested persons in a nearby house and seized a small quantity of class A drugs.
"All three remain in police custody at present.
"Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact police by calling 101, quoting reference 139 11/10/23."

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Micheal McGibbon Murder: Man And Woman Arrested
Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Michael McGibbon in north Belfast. Mr McGibbon, 33, was shot a number of times in an alleyway in the Ardoyne area on Friday, 15 April. He was taken to hospital to be treated, however he died from his injuries.
