Local Businesses To Open Portview 'Pop Up'
A group of East Belfast businesses have come together to bring a unique shopping experience to the city this Christmas.
Throughout November and December, 'The Portview Pop Up' will take place in the historic Portview Trade Centre. The centre that was once a spinning mill in the early 1960s is celebrated for its progressive employment of women and blend of traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies.
The partners joining the line up include:
• Innocent Chaos
• Lavender Line Photography
• Monday’s Child
• Storybox NI CIC
• Studio A111
There will be a selection of items from vegan hair products to stunning photography prints, everlasting faux flowers, exquisite jewellery, luxurious chocolates, pottery, handmade stationery, social enterprise goods and thoughtfully curated gift boxes on sale.
Rachel McIlgorm, founder of Storybox NI CIC, said: "The collaboration aims to demonstrate the resilience and creativity of the local business community while providing a tailored shopping experience for all. By supporting local enterprises, visitors and customers can not only find one-of-a-kind treasures but also play a vital role in bolstering their neighbourhood’s economic well-being."
The Portview Pop Up will also welcome local artist Jude Fenton as their Artist in Residence, with paintings and prints available to purchase. Six other local artisans will also be given the opportunity to trade in the centre on Saturdays.

Picturesque winter scenes across NI are today being further enhanced by fresh falls of snow blowing in from an Atlantic weather system. However, it is adding to the continuing Siberian freeze that has seen much of the British Isles grinding to a halt, with disruption in NI expected to continue into the weekend at least.
