Man Arrested In Connection With Serious Assault In Larne

A man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Larne on Monday, 25 September.

At around 10.35pm, two hooded men wearing dark coloured clothing, forced their way into a house in the Ballycraigy Ring area.

The two men assaulted a man, aged in his 20s, who was inside the property at the time by punching him to the face which made him fall to the ground. When the victim was on the ground he was also kicked to the chest. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

The victim required hospital treatment for serious injuries to his face.

Investigating officers arrested a man, aged in his 30s, on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, on Tuesday 26th September.

Inspector Parkes said: "We are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Ballycraigy Ring area during this time or who may have noticed these hooded men to get in touch.

"Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who has mobile, doorbell or CCTV footage that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 2189 25/09/23."

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
