Appeal For Information On Robbery Of East Belfast Takeaway
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses the robbery of a takeaway in east Belfast.
According to police, shortly after 11.45pm a man entered the takeaway in the Beersbridge Road area demanding the contents of a till.
The suspect left the scene on foot with a sum of money from the till and made off in the direction of Melrose Avenue. He also threatened a staff member who followed and confronted him.
Detective Sergeant Magee said: "Thankfully the staff member was not harmed, however, this was a frightening experience for those who were working in the takeaway.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Beersbridge Road area during this time to get in touch.
"The suspect is described as approximately 6' 2" and of stocky build. He was wearing a green puffer style coat, dark snood, gloves and a cap.
"Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who has mobile, dash-cam or CCTV footage that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 2057 20/09/23."

Traffic Warning For South Belfast Ahead Of Northern Ireland Match
Road users are advised to plan for potential traffic delays in the south Belfast area on Friday, 15th November due to the UEFA Nations League football match between Northern Ireland and Belarus. The match will take place at Windsor Park, kicking off at 7.45pm, and it is expected that around 18,000 supporters will attend.

Renewed Appeal For Information On Bookmaker Robbery
The PSNI have renewed an appeal for information on the robbery of a bookmakers on Lecky Road in L'Derry on Saturday 26 March. A man, described as being around 6'2" tall and wearing a grey-hooded top and dark-coloured bottoms, entered the shop at around 4:10pm and approached the counter area where he struck a screen with an unidentified object.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information after a report of an attempted robbery at a fast food takeaway in north Belfast in the early hours of Tuesday, July 25th. It was reported that at around 1.45am a man, armed with a knife, entered a premises in the Clifton Street area and demanded money from a member of staff.
