Teenagers Left 'Terrified' After Masked Men Force Entry To Comber Home

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Comber, Co Down.

On Monday, 11 September, is was reported to police that just before 10pm, four masked men entered a house in the Castle Street area, armed with blunt weapons.

Two teenagers were inside the property at the time of the report and the suspects demanded their mobile phones off them.

They then searched inside the house and stole a sum of money and a quantity of jewellery before fleeing the scene in a light-coloured vehicle.

Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Westbury said: "The two teenagers, although uninjured, were left extremely terrified by what was undoubtedly a frightening ordeal for them.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Castle Street area during this time or who may have noticed these masked men to get in touch.

"They are described as all wearing black clothing with their hoods up and had gloves on. Two of the men are believed to be around 6' 0" and the others approximately 5'11".

"All of the suspects were of slim build and one of the men was wearing dark green coloured trainers.

"Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who has mobile, doorbell or CCTV footage that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 2196 11/09/23."

North Belfast Woman Injured As Masked Gang Burgle Home
A woman has been injured in an aggravated burglary in north Belfast. It was reported that four masked men entered her home in Chestnut Gardens off the Cliftonville Road at a round 7pm on Wednesday 30 January. The 39-year-old woman was injured on the right side of her face as her property was ransacked and a number of items were stolen.

Man Attacked During Aggravated Burglary In Co Down
A man has been attacked during an aggravated burglary in Co Down. The incident happened at a property in the Summerhill Brae area in Banbridge at around 10.35pm on Tuesday, 19 September. Three masked men forced their way into the property and assaulted a man, aged in his 30s, before they tied him up. They ransacked the property and made off.

Man Shot In West Belfast
A man in his 20s has been shot in the foot in west Belfast. Four masked men approached the victim in an entryway in the Laurelbank area of Poleglass on Sunday at around 10.10pm, 24 July. They ordered him to lie down before shooting him in the foot.

Man Seriously Assaulted In Co Antrim
A 25-year-old man has been seriously attacked in Co Antrim. The assault occurred in the Hampton Crescent area in Larne at around 12.35am on Saturday. Five masked men armed with baseball bats attacked the victim and he sustained fractures to his arm and leg. He is currently being treated in hospital.

Masked Men Steal Cash And Car From Pensioners Home In South Belfast
Three masked men entered a pensioners home in south Belfast and stole cash and a car. The incident occurred in the Ailesbury Drive area on Wednesday night. At around 10.30pm, a man answered the door of his home and three masked men entered and demanded money. They made off with a sum of money and also stole their silver Toyota Avensis.
