Murder Investigation Launched Following Death Of Man In Castlederg
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Castlederg.
Conor Browne, aged 28 and from the Strabane area, died from injuries sustained following a stabbing incident in the Main Street area of Castlederg on Saturday, 2nd September.
Detective Chief Inspector Gibson said: "We have made three arrests to date in our investigation. Two men - both aged 28 - remain in police custody at this time. Another man aged 27 has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
"I would continue to appeal to anyone who believes they may have information which could assist us in our investigation into this young man's death to contact us at the Major Investigation Team on 101 quoting reference 127 02/09/23.”
Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100 per cent anonymous.

The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.

Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack on a Baptist Church in Co Down. Tyres were put up against the side of the building on the Loughbrickland Road in Rathfriland and set alight between 11pm and 11.30pm on Wednesday, 18 May. Damaged was caused to the side of the church and windows.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.
