PSNI Condemn Poster Containing Officer Details

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after a poster containing the personal details of three serving officers was reportedly placed in a public place in Dungiven.

It is understood that the poster was placed near a bus stop in Chapel Road.

Assistant Chief Constable Chris Todd condemned the poster as "a clear attempt to intimidate police officers, staff and their families" but said that the information contained on the poster is incorrect.

ACC Todd added: "We have commenced an investigation into this matter and I appeal to anyone with any information relating to this incident to contact police on 101. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was travelling through Dungiven last night and who has any dash cam footage."

Speaking about the concerns raised by an individual whose personal information was contained on a poster near a bus shelter in Dungiven, a police spokesperson said: "We will not usually discuss the security of individuals but on this occasion I can confirm that the person raising these concerns has no current or historic links to the Police Service.

"This is one of a number of inaccuracies in the information contained in the poster."
