Man Charged With Murder Of Cornelius O'Neill
A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of Cornelius O'Neill near Kilera, in Co L’Derry.
The PSNI were alerted to an incident at a property on Fallahogey Terrace at around 4.50pm on Tuesday, 29 August.
Mr O’Neill, aged 56, was trounced dead at the scene.
The suspect is due to appear in court on Thursday.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said: "On Tuesday afternoon, just before 4.50pm, police received a report that a man had been stabbed.
"Officers, along with colleagues from the Ambulance Service, attended a property in the Fallahogy Terrace area of the village. Sadly, the man, whom we can now name as Cornelius O’Neill, was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
"Mr O'Neill was 56 years old and was from the Kilrea area."

Murder Probe Underway In Fermanagh
A suspicious death early this morning is now being treated as a murder inquiry and a probe has begun in County Fermanagh. It started soon after a 36-year-old man was found dead near the village of Tempo. Police were called to a house in the Edenmore area at about 4.20am on Tuesday.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
