22-Year-Old Arrested In Connection With L'Derry Security Alert

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry in connection with a hijacking and subsequent security alert in the Waterside area on Sunday 20 November, 2022.

The man was arrested under the Terrorism Act, and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station to be questioned.

The investigation continues, and police appeal to anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 1664 of 20/11/22. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org

22-Year-Old Charged In Connection With L'Derry Shooting Incident
A 22-year-old man will appear before Dungannon Magistrates' Court charged in connection with a shooting incident in Co L'Derry. On Friday 09 March, 2018, a man was found in a car on the Cairndaisy Road with a gunshot wound to his head. He is continuing to be treated for his injury.

Two arrested in connection with Thomas Devlin murder
Police have arrested a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman in connection with the investigation into the fatal stabbing of north Belfast schoolboy Thomas Devlin. There are no further details as yet, however it is understood that the arrests were made this morning in Belfast.

Two Men Arrested In Connection With Omagh Security Alert
Two men, aged 56 and 29, have been arrested in connection with a security alert in Omagh on Saturday 06 May. At around 10pm on Saturday, three masked men hijacked a silver-coloured Volkswagen Golf in the Fireagh Road area, off the Dromore Road in Omagh.

Man Arrested Following Security Alert In L'Derry
A man has been arrested following a security alert in Co L'Derry. A number of residents were evacuated from their homes in the Ederowen Park area on Wednesday night, 13 December. Police attended the scene and a suspicious object was found as well as a number of other items which have been taken away for further examination.

22-Year-Old Arrested After Bomb Found In Holdall
Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with an improvised explosive device found in a holdall on Thursday night. Officers found the devices in a sportsbag in the Shaws Road area of West Belfast, and the man was arrested later when police stopped him out walking.
