£1m Drug Haul Seized At Larne Harbour
Suspected Class A drugs worth an estimated £1 million has been seized at Larne Habour.
Shortly before 6am on Friday, 18th August police and Border Force colleagues carried out a vehicle stop-and-search operation, during which they discovered a large quantity of suspected Class A drugs .
A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply. He remains in custody at this time, assisting officers with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Sweeney said: "This seizure and arrest highlights the ability of strong partnership working with key stakeholders to tackle this type of organised criminality.
"We will continue to tackle the supply, use and harm caused by illegal drugs in Northern Ireland and we're grateful for the support of local people, and I'm keen to reiterate and ask for anyone with information, or concerns, to get in touch on 101."
Alternatively, information can also be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

Officers from Bangor District Support Team carried out a search of a property in the West Link area of Holywood shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday, 26 July. During the search, they recovered a quantity of suspected Class A and suspected Class B drugs.

Major Cocaine Seizure In Draperstown
A man has been arrested in connection with a major drug seizure in Draperstown. Approximately 1.2kg of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of £50,000, was seized by officers from Cookstown District Support Team during a planned search of a residential property in The Orchard area of the town.

Police carried out house searches in Ballymena and Portadown on Thursday, 09 December. A quantity of suspected Class B controlled drugs and a number of other items were seized and have been taken for further examination.
