Investigation Launches After Young Teen Approached By Man
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after a young teenager was approached by a man in Portstewart.
In an incident described as a "suspicious approach", the young teenager was in the Station Road area of the town on Wednesday 02 August, when they where approached by a man, aged in his 60s, at approximately 3.10pm.
The man was described as having a bald appearance with grey stubble, and wearing bright blue clothing.
Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and police are very aware of the concerns that this may raise in the local community, with proactive patrols now being stepped up in the area.
Officers have appealed to anyone who noticed a suspicious man in the area or witnessed this incident, or has dashcam footage, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1108 02/08/23.

Police have launched an investigation after two young girls were suspiciously approached by a man on Wednesday afternoon in Bangor, Co Down. The incident occurred in the Clanmorris Close area at around 4pm. The man asked the girls to keep watch while he went to the toilet, but they refused.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Child Suspiciously Approached In Co Tyrone
Police are appealing for information after a 6-year-old girl was suspiciously approached in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. The incident happened in the Windmill Court area at around 9.30pm on Thursday, 26 January. A man spoke to the girl, however a relation interrupted and took her home.
