Yellow Weather Warning For Heavy Rain Issued Across NI
A yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued across Northern Ireland.
The Met Office put the warning in place between midnight and noon on Saturday, 05 August, The heaviest rain is expected in Belfast and the South East,
It said the wet and windy conditions could cause flooding in homes and businesses as well as travel disruption.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: “There is a small chance of 40-60mm, with perhaps as much as 20-30mm of this falling in just a couple of hours.
"This will be coupled with some strong winds, widely gusts of 30-35mph are likely, with the risk in some areas, especially exposed coasts in the east, of gusts up to 45-50mph, perhaps bringing some coastal impacts in places. The persistent rain will pull away east into the afternoon, however it will remain generally windy, with a mix of sunshine and blustery showers following."

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Northern Ireland due to an "unseasonably windy spell" hitting parts of the UK. Strong winds of up to 60mph are expected to move across the country later today, 1 June. Heavy rain is also expected, while large waves have been predicted along the south and east coasts.

'Yellow' Rain Warning Issued
A 'yellow' weather warning of heavy rain for Northern Ireland has been issued by the UK Met Office. The Met Office said bands of rain would move east across Northern Ireland during Thursday and early Friday. It said some of the rain will be heavy, particularly during Thursday afternoon and also for the first part of Friday in the east.

Slow-moving heavy thunderstorms are expected to develop on Saturday afternoon between 12am – 9pm, with potentially up to 20mm of rain to fall in less than an hour and 30 – 50mm possible in three hours.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across Northern Ireland. The alert is in place from 3pm today, 21 July, until midnight. Counties Fermanagh, L'Derry and Tyrone are expected to be the worst effected. The Met Office said heavy showers will occur across western counties and there may also be thunder.
