Man Injured In Shooting Incident In Co Antrim

A man, aged in his 40s, has sustained a head wound following a shooting incident in the Main Street area of Co Antrim.

The incident happened at around 11.50pm on Wednesday, 02 August, in the Bushmills area.

A number of masked men entered a flat armed with a baseball bat and attacked the man inside.

The victim is also believed to have sustained gunshot wounds to his knee and hand. He was taken to hospital to be treated.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Victim critical after Co Antrim shooting
A man was rushed to hospital last night after a shooting incident in Co Antrim. At around 8.30pm, two masked men burst into the victim's Dunluskin Gardens home in Carrickfergus before shooting him several times. It is understood the man is in a critical condition after undergoing emergency surgery.

Man Injured In Lurgan Shooting
A man has been injured in a shooting in Lurgan, Co Armagh. Two shots were fired at a house in the Ashleigh Crescent area just before 11pm on Sunday, 07 May. The man sustained a cut to his neck. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Co Antrim Man Found Dead In Ibiza Sustained Head Injuries
A County Antrim man found dead in a hotel room in Ibiza sustained head injuries, according to Ireland's expert State Pathologist. Alan Drennan, 21, was found dead just 24 hours after arriving in Ibiza. Mr Drennan was detained by Spanish police when he arrived on the holiday island, and friends claim that he was attacked by the police.

Loyalist feud connection in Co Armagh shootings
Police believe the shooting of two men in Co Armagh over the past 24 hours is connected to an ongoing loyalist feud. In the latest incident a man was shot as he sat in his car in the Killicomaine estate, Portadown, on Friday afternoon. The assailant is believed to have made off on a motorbike.
