Appeal For Information On Armed Robbery In West Belfast

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of an armed robbery at commercial premises at the Suffolk Road area of West Belfast on Friday 21st July.

Shortly before 8:55pm, it was reported that three masked men, with one of them armed with a suspected firearm, entered the rear of a fast food takeaway in the area. It was reported the males ordered staff onto the floor before making off with a sum of money. No one was injured during the incident.

Detectives Sergeant Kennedy said: "Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to this investigation, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1890 21/07/23. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Three Police Officers Injured In Belfast Incident
A 35-year-old man has been arrested following an incident in which three police officers were assaulted in the early hours of this morning, Friday 13 December. The incident occurred around 12:20 AM on Dublin Road. When officers attempted to speak to the driver of a suspicious vehicle, he assaulted them and drove off a short distance.

New Special School Opens In Belfast
