Appeal Issued Following Burglary In East Belfast

Police are appealing for information after a number of items were stolen during a burglary in east Belfast.

The incident occurred at a house in the Dundela Avenue area in the early hours of Friday morning, 14 July.

Detective Sergeant Kennedy said: "One of the occupants of the house woke to discover noises downstairs and looked over the bannister of the two-storey property to find a man standing in the hallway.

"The intruder, who was wearing a red cap and multi-coloured jacket, quickly left through the back door and it was discovered that a number of items were missing. 

"This was a frightening intrusion to their home and we are keen to find out any information that will help lead us to the culprit. Contact us on 101 quoting reference number 192 14/07/23." 

Police are appealing to anyone who noticed anything suspicious or who may have doorbell or a dash-cam recording to contact them.
