Two Men Arrested After North Belfast Aggravated Burglary
The PSNI have arrested two men in connection with an aggravated burglary in North Belfast on Saturday, 24th June.
Sometime between the hours of midnight and 03:00am two men reportedly entered a house in the Northwick drive area, with one of the men armed with what was suspected to be a hatchet.
The victim, a man aged in his 40s, received facial injuries and a stab wound to the shoulder. The windows and the front door of the property were also damaged during the incident.
The two men, aged 28 and 29, have been arrested on the suspicion of aggravated burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm as well as criminal damage. Both men are currently in police custody at this time.
Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information or who may have dash-cam footage available, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 407 24/06/23. Two men, aged 32 and 34, and a woman aged 35 were detained following the Channing Street incident.
