Men Armed With Hammers Attack A Home In Newtownabbey
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of criminal damage at residential premises in the Innisrush Gardens area of Newtownabbey.
Shortly after 9:15pm on Wednesday 07 June, it was reported that a number of masked men attended a property in the area armed with hammers with one man believed to have been armed with a suspected firearm. It was reported that all of the windows were smashed. It is not believed that any shots were fired during the incident.
The males did not enter the property and it was reported that a man in his 40s was inside.
Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant McDowell said: "Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and would appeal to anyone with any information, or who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 2128 07/06/23. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.
