Ballymena United Confirm Jim Ervin As New Manager
Ballymena United have confirmed their former player and captain Jim Ervin as their new manager.
Ervin succeeds David Jeffrey who left the club by mutual consent in the wake of the club's 4-0 defeat by Crusaders in the Irish Cup final.
Ervin, who made 277 appearances in eight seasons for Ballymena as a player will be joined by Stefan Seaton as the club's assistant manager. He becomes the 34th manager in the club's history.
His predecessor David Jeffrey had been in charge at the club for seven years. He led the team to three Irish Cup finals as well as winning the League Cup in 2017. They also finished runners up in the 2018/2019 Irish Premiership season.
New manager Ervin hopes to improve on the club's 9th place finish when he leads the team into the 23/24 Irish Premiership campaign.
