Man Hospitalised In Belfast Shooting
A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in both legs in North Belfast.
The incident in the Antrim Road area took place at around 10.15pm on Wednesday 31 May.
Cordons were put in place around the area and police are appealing for anyone with relevant information to contact 101 quoting reference number 2345 of 31/05/23.
Sinn Fein's Ní Chuilín has condemned the shooting. She said: "There is no place for guns on our streets.
"This reckless attack has caused disruption for residents tonight and left people living in the nearby flats traumatised.
"Anyone with information on this attack should bring it forward to the PSNI."

Man Injured In Paramilitary-Style Attack In West Belfast
A 39-year-old man has been injured in a paramilitary-style shooting in west Belfast. The victim was shot in both ankles in the Glenalina Gardens area just after 9.30pm on Tuesday, 30 January. He was taken to hospital to be treated. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Shots Fired At A House In Dundrum
Shots have been fire at a house in Dundrum at around 2am on Tuesday. Two men who were in the property in the Church Avenue area at the time were not injured, however they were left badly shaken. A motive for the incident is currently being investigated according to the police. The PSNI are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Marriage increase in Northern Ireland
Latest figures have revealed that there has been an increase in the number of marriages in Northern Ireland. The number for 2006 was just 8,300, a small increase on the 8,100 marriages registered in 2005, the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) said. This is a significant increase on the recent low of 7,300 registered in 2001.

Two Men Mugged In Co Antrim
Two men have been mugged in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. The incident happened in the Carnhill Place area at around 12.10am on Sunday, 21 August. Two masked men, carrying suspected firearms, threatened the victims and forced them to hand over money from their wallets. The suspects made off in the direction of Oakfield Drive.
