Healthcare Worker Pleads Guilty To Defrauding Vulnerable Adults
A 27-year-old healthcare worker has pleaded guilty to a range of charges connection to obtaining money from vulnerable adults.
Natalia Winiarska had pleaded guilty to 42 counts of false representation, five counts of attempted fraud by false representation, and two counts of theft.
The charges relate to an 11 month period during which Winiarska used her position to take money and bank card information from patients under her care. In total, six vulnerable adults were victims of the fraudulent activity.
Winiarska was sentenced to a combination order including two years' probation and 100 hours of community service. A compensation order in the sum of £6289.48 was also imposed.
Detective Constable McGuinness said: "I hope this sentencing sends out a clear message to anyone who thinks they can get away with this type of crime. We will work tirelessly to bring offenders before the courts so that victims receive the justice they deserve.
"I would ask anyone who believes they are a victim of fraud to contact police on the non-emergency number 101."

A man has been remanded in custody after pleading guilty to 20 offences of theft. The 22-year-old suspect appeared in court following a number of shoplifting offences across Ballymena and Antrim.
