Man Dies In Hospital Following Scooter Collision

A man has died in hospital following a collision between an electric scooter and car in east Belfast on Wednesday, 10 May.

Named by the PSNI as 46-year-old Eddie Jackson, he was involved in a collisionwith a Mercedes GLA 200 while riding his electric scooter on the Knock Road shortly before 2.30pm.

Mr Jackson was treated at the scene by emergency services before being transferred to hospital by helicopter. He died in hospital from injuries he sustained in the collision.

Sergeant Miller-Devlin from the Collision Investigation Unit said: "An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing. Officers would appeal to anyone with any information or who may have dash-cam footage available to contact them at the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1149 of 10/05/23."

Man Dies In Fatal Collision In Maghera
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fatal collision in Maghera on Thursday 01 December. Police have reported that a man, aged in his 50s, died following a road traffic collision on the Moneysharvan Road on Thursday, 1st December.

Man Arrested In L'Derry
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in L'Derry. Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit carried out a search at a property in connection with an ongoing on Wednesday, 04 November. A number of items were seized for further examination. The man was taken to be questioned, however he has now been released.

A man, aged in his 30s, has died in hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Armoy on Sunday, 10 December. The collision occurred in the Coolkeeran Road area at around 11.30pm and involved a silver Peugeot 207.
