Appeal For Information On Arson In Newtownards
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an arson incident in the Newtownards area in the early hours of this morning, Thursday, 18th May.
At around 4.30am police received a report that a car was on fire in the Killard Avenue area of the town.
The vehicle was totally destroyed and residents had to be evacuated from a nearby property as Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service dealt with the fire.
Detective Sergeant Westbury said: "This is being treated as arson and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anyone suspicious in the area or anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 193 of 18/05/23."

PSNI Investigating Arson Of Greenisland Church
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fire at a church and church hall in Greenisland last night, Sunday 1st September. At approximately 9.10pm, police received a report of a fire at the property on the Station Road. Police and the Northern Ireland Fire Service attended and the blaze was extinguished.

Appeal Following Arson Attack In North Belfast
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a fire at a property in north Belfast on the evening of Tuesday 2nd July. At approximately 10.10pm police received a report that four masked men had broken a window and thrown a petrol bomb inside a flat in the Cliftonpark Avenue area.
