Appeal For Information After Serious Assault In Ballycastle
PSNI detectives in Coleraine have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a serious assault in the Causeway Coast and Glens area on Tuesday 09 May.
Shortly before 9.50am, a 31-year-old man was found seriously injured at a house in the Drumawillin Park area of Ballycastle.
It is believed the man was injured following an assault at a house in the Riverview Park area of Armoy sometime over the weekend.
The man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
A 27-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time.
Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: "Our enquiries are at an early stage and we would be keen to speak to anyone who was in the Riverview Park or Drumawillian Park areas over the weekend and saw anything, or who may have dashcam, CCTV or other video footage.
"The number to call is 101, quoting reference 497 of 09/05/23."

Four people have been injured in a stabbing attack in Co Down. The incident happened at a house in the Queens Park area of Saintfield at around 3.40am on Sunday, 11 March. A woman sustained serious injuries and is receiving hospital treatment. Three men were also taken to hospital to be treated.

Police described the assault as "brutal and horrific". A 26-year-old man was detained in the Drumahoe area on Thursday, 16 November.

A man has been arrested over an attempted murder in Craigavon, Co Armagh. Police received a report of a stabbing in the Abercorn Park area shortly after 11.50pm on Wednesday, 04 May. Police attended the scene and found a 34-year-old man had been attacked with a knife and hammer. The victim sustained injuries to his head and shoulder.

Three Men Released Over Murder Of Brian McIlhagga
Three men arrested in connection with the murder of Brian McIlhagga have been released unconditionally. Mr McIlhagga, 42, was shot and beaten by a gang after he was dragged from a house in the Riverview Park area in Ballymoney in January 2015.
