Home Safety And Crime Prevention Event To Take Place At City Hall
Belfast City Council will host more than 30 exhibitors at a free home safety and crime prevention event at City Hall this Friday 31 March.
The Belfast Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) has organised the event, which is free and will take place from 10am-1pm. Light refreshments will also be provided.
Exhibitors at the event will include statutory agencies, including the PSNI, Housing Executive, NI Fire and Rescue Service, Libraries NI and Belfast City Council, as well as community and voluntary groups, such as Samaritans, Belfast Women's Aid and Victim Support NI.
Councillor Micky Murray, Chair of the Belfast PCSP, said: "This event will provide very practical tips for crime prevention in homes and businesses, as well as offering personal safety advice and help around other issues like water leaks, fire prevention and managing your budget.
"Visitors can also get a free cyber security audit of their phone or tablet with Digiskills who can check your privacy and security settings to make sure your details and information are protected when you shop or browse online.
"I'd encourage people to drop into City Hall and take advantage of the free advice and information on offer."
