Man Arrested Following Discovery Of Cannabis Farm In Scarva
A man, aged in his 40s, has been arrested in connection with the seizure of suspected Class B drugs, worth an estimated £25,000, in Scarva on Thursday 23 March.
The suspected cannabis farm was discovered inside a shed in a search operation conducted by local Policing Team and Neighbourhood officers. There was a number of grow tents set up inside and all plants were seized alongside some electronic items.
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of several offences, including cultivation of cannabis. He remains in police custody at this time, assisting with enquiries.
Sergeant Berry said: "We are committed to tackling the illegal supply and use of drugs, and will continue to investigate those who profit from the consequent misery and harm.
"Our investigation into this incident is ongoing, and I would ask any member of the public who has any information which could be of assistance to police to contact the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1053 of 23/03/23.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Man Charged Over £16,000 Cannabis Find
A 22-year-old man has been charged after £16,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized in L'Derry. The discovery was made after police searched a house in the Waterside area on Friday, 22 September. The suspect has been accused of growing cannabis, possession of a Class B drug and intent to supply.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
