Eight Armed And Masked Men Attack Home In Newtownards
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an aggravated burglary in Newtownards yesterday, Tuesday 21 March.
Shortly after 10.30am, approximately eight armed and masked men arrived at a house in the Cedar Drive area and smashed the front door using what is believed to have been crowbars and hammers.
They also smashed a number of windows on the property and also the windows of a nearby shed before forcing entry into the house and causing significant damage to the interior.
The resident, who was present at the time was uninjured, however was left badly shaken by the attack.
Detective Sergeant Westbury said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have CCTV or other footage that could assist with enquiries to get in touch.
"I am also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a number of men and vehicles that were seen acting suspiciously in the nearby Mallard View area of the town to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 736 of 21/03/23.
"A report can be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport. Information can also be provided to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org."

Searches For Missing Ballymoney Man To Continue
Police are to carry out planned searches of a man who has been missing for eight months. Norman Galbraith, 66, was last seen at his home in Queens Avenue, Co Antrim, on Friday, 31 July, last year. Mr Galbraith's wallet was found during extensive searches and further searches are planned this week.

Nine Men Arrested Over Attack On House In Antrim
Nine men have been arrested following an attack at a house in County Antrim. Around 20 men with hammers and bats smashed windows and a door at a property in the Newpark estate at around 20.10 on Thursday, according to the PSNI. Nine men were later arrested in connection with the attack.
