Survey Launches To Gather Experiences Of Travelling At Night In NI
A new survey has been launched to gather information on people's experiences of travelling at night in Northern Ireland, with a particular interest in perceptions on personal safety.
The Travelling at Night survey is being carried out by the Consumer Council – Northern Ireland’s consumer body, responsible for protecting and safeguarding the rights and interests of people.
The Council does many things to help consumers in Northern Ireland, such as providing free expert advice, complaint handling, and engaging with government, regulators, and consumer bodies, to ensure that consumer rights are protected.
To help them do this, the Council carry out research to help them understand and pin-point current and future risks to consumers.

The Consumer Council want to hear about your experiences of travelling at night in Northern Ireland.
This information will be used by the Council to inform research, campaigns and policy. No personal data is gathered.
It should take 2-3 minutes to complete the survey.
Closing date for the survey is 16 March 2023.

Ordnance Survey calls for more support from district councils
The Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland (OSNI) today urged more district councils to help the agency produce up-to-date street maps of the Province’s main towns. Chief Executive, Mick Cory made the call following inaccurate press reports earlier this week on OSNI’s role and responsibility in producing street maps.

The Robinson Centre in east Belfast has been closed after survey work uncovered a number of previously-unidentified areas of asbestos. The discovery was made as part of a Building Management Survey being undertaken at the leisure facility.

Belfast being run correctly say residents
People in Belfast are increasingly happy with how their city is being run, a new survey released next week is expected to show. The survey, conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, will reveal that a total of 92% of residents enjoy living in Belfast while 78% say they are proud to live in the city.
